Engagement rings are a little bit like a mother-in-law at a wedding; attention is often focused solely on them, they can make or break a marriage, and no matter how much you spend on them it seems like nothing is enough!

Luckily for us though, since the dawning of the new computer age, engagement rings, unlike mother-in-laws, can be purchased online and at great prices, provided that you know where to shop; the trick is, of course, finding the best deals available.

The price of engagement rings can be a much debated issue; some will say blow the whole of your savings on it, but then how will you have enough left for a decent honeymoon?!

There is a rule that we have all heard, that the groom needs too spend approximately three months salary on an engagement ring and that this is a good indicator as to how much you should spend; however, there is another old rule that women should be seen and not heard, but there aren’t too many advocates of that rule around, so we shall forget about old rules altogether, shall we?!

The only important thing that you spend on the engagement ring is time, effort and thought; it doesn’t matter if you go for a low budget ring or spend a ‘blow-the-ceiling-off’ fortune on it, as long as you have put your heart into it.

Think about it; even if you go to every jeweller in your town or city, there is no way that you will have the selection that the world wide web can offer you, what with all the sites that can provide you with your engagement ring, delivered straight to your front door.

The reason that these shops can afford to sell engagement rings at such reasonable prices is that they put all their stock in warehouses, instead of shop fronts that take up a lot of cash flow on wages etc; so, all in all, it’s better for everyone to shop on the internet!

Due to all these low prices for engagement rings online, you can afford to get a really decent one with your budget, so there is no time left to lose, get clicking and start purchasing…you could even ask your mother-in-law for help!
